Moser 1400 Mini Review

Moser 1400 Mini
After several uses I rate the Moser 1400 Mini at 4,3 out of 5 stars.
What I like:
- The blade. The trimmer is equipped with a stainless steel Star Blade, which is actually a professional grade blade. It needs regular lubrication, but if you remember to oil the blades, they will stay in good shape for many years to come.
- The size. I don't know about others, but I actually like the super-compact design of the Moser 1400 Mini. It weighs about 190 grams. For me it is easy to handle it and maneuver even with the cable.
- Constant power. Thanks to the corded operation the trimmer works at maximal
Not bad:
- Blade width. You have to bear in mind that the Star Blade in Moser 1400 Mini is pretty narrow. It is approx. 32 mm wide, which is some 1.25 inches. This means this model will perform best as a detailer and for managing details on your beard and hair. It is not a primary clipper for bulk cutting.
Possible weak points:
- Corded only operation. The trimmer works only plugged into the mains. If you are not used to it, this could be a drawback for you.
- Limited number of length settings. There’s only one adjustable comb attachment with length settings ranging from 3 mm to 6 mm. Moreover the comb is really simple and in my opinion the quality is moderate.

- Exceptional Cutting Performance:
- Features a high-precision, German-made "Star Blade" that delivers a very close and clean cut (0.4 mm).
- Ideal for detailed work such as outlining, edging hairlines, and shaping beards.
- Powerful Motor:
- Despite its small size, it has a powerful oscillating motor that cuts through hair smoothly without pulling or snagging.
- The corded design ensures consistent and reliable power delivery during use.

- Frequently described as a "buy it for life" product due to its robust, German-engineered construction.
- Praised for its long-lasting reliability by both professionals and home users.
- Compact and Ergonomic:
- Its lightweight and small size allow for excellent maneuverability and control for precise detailing.
Weaknesses (What Users Dislike)
- Significant Vibration and Noise:
- This is the most common complaint. The level of vibration can be uncomfortable for some users, especially during extended use.
- It makes a loud and characteristic "clack" sound when turned on, which can be jarring, although this is a normal function of its powerful motor engaging.
- Corded Operation Only:
- The lack of a cordless option is seen as a major drawback for users who value portability and freedom of movement. The cord can be cumbersome during use.
- Attachment Combs:
- Some users have reported that the included plastic attachment combs can feel flimsy or break easily.
- Finding or purchasing replacements can sometimes be inconvenient or costly.
