Braun AIO 7545 Hands-on: Bare Blade Neck Shave & Zero-Gap Test
I test the Braun Series 7 AIO 7545 bare blade on a week of neck growth. Find out if it delivers a zero-gapped finish or leaves stubble behind.
In my latest bare-blade test, I took the Braun Series 7 AIO 7545 to a week’s worth of neck growth to evaluate its line up capabilities.
The primary takeaway is that the factory blade is not zero-gapped.
Unlike professional detailing trimmer such as the Wahl Detailer, the Braun AIO leaves a distinct layer of stubble rather than cutting down to the skin.
To clear the neck completely and ensure a smooth finish without causing irritation from over-trimming, a secondary pass with a tool like the Philips OneBlade Pro was required.
Braun AIO 7545 Performance Breakdown:
- Blade Performance: The bare blade fails to provide a skin-close shave, leaving obvious stubble after the first pass.
- Precision: Not zero-gapped; it cannot compete with dedicated edgers for sharp line ups.
- Efficiency: Low for detailed neck work, as it demands a second tool to finish the job cleanly.
My Verdict:
Strictly for standard stubble maintenance and basic trimming.
It lacks the technical capability for skin-close edging or detailing.
Avoid if your main goal is a zero-gapped line up and a smooth neck.
Keep only if you are looking for an all-in-one length trimmer and already own a dedicated foil shaver or hybrid blade for the actual skin-close finishing work.
