In this real-world neck shave test, we ran the Babyliss T890E bare blade against a solid week of growth. 

The primary takeaway is that the blade is not zero-gapped. 

While it takes down the initial length, it leaves behind clear stubble and fails to deliver the skin-close cut you would get from a Wahl Detailer.

To achieve a smooth, clean neck without causing irritation through repetitive passes, a secondary tool (like the Philips OneBlade Pro) was required to finish the job.

## Babyliss T890E Performance Breakdown

- **Blade Performance:** Takes down week-old hair but leaves consistent stubble; expect no tugging/pulling, but also no skin-tight finish.
- **Precision:** Lacks zero-gap capabilities, making it inadequate for tight line ups.
- **Efficiency:** Requires a two-tool system if your goal is completely smooth skin on the neck. *(Note: Battery, charging style, and ergonomics were not assessed in this quick test).*

## My Verdict

Strictly for **stubble maintenance**. 

It does not have the hardware setup for sharp skin detailing or zero-gapped line ups.

**Avoid** if you are looking for a single, all-in-one tool to get a bald-smooth neck or sharp edges.
