Babyliss MT727E Review

I rate the Babyliss MT727E at 4 stars out of 5.

What I like:

• The blades. Made of carbon-titanium steel they are not only durable, but also very sharp. I can definitely tell that I have noticed the difference when compared to the blades in Philips or Braun beard trimmers (on my medium coarse beard). 
• Corded / cordless usage. I love the ability to use the Babyliss MT727E beard trimmer in both modes. This way I don’t have to worry about losing power during operation. 
• Foil shaver attachment. It is much better in terms of efficiency and quality of shaving compared to the foil shaver attachments we find in Braun or Philips multigroomers. This foil shaver is my second best option right after the shaver you get in Remington PG9100 Heritage trimmer.

Not bad:

• The set of attachments. The set is rather simple. For the blade we have 6 pieces of fixed length attachments with following lengths: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 mm. The 3 mm and 4 mm combs are made of transparent plastic, the rest 4 pieces are black plastic. The manufacturer intended the 3 and 4 mm combs for safe trimming body hair, but of course you can use them for trimming your beard as well. There’s also a very simple adjustable comb for stubble (lengths 1 - 1,5 - 2 - 2,5 - 3 - 3,5 mm). Finally we have a narrow nose/ear attachment and the above discussed foil shaver (which I love). 

Possible weak points:

• Not for cutting hair. You have to bear in mind that the Babyliss MT727E is not equipped with appropriate tools (aka attachments) for an efficient hair cut. You will probably achieve a decent hair cut if your hair is really short. 
• The battery. Although I personally did not notice any issues regarding the battery, some users reported rapid decline in battery performance, often occurring within months of purchase.
