Babyliss E974E Hair Clippers | My Short Review
Babyliss E974E is a decent hair clipper for basic home usage. You can't expect premium features, but given its friendly price tag it is a good choice for less demanding users.

In this review I will share with you my take on the Babyliss E974E.
What's in the box?

As I have mentioned earlier, this is a basic hair clipper.
So here's what you find in the box:
- the clippers
- 1 adjustable comb (up to 25 mm)
- hair comb (pretty decent)
- charging cable
- small package of blade oil
- very simple travel pouch
- instructions and warranty
The Blade

As you can see on the image above, the blade is quite simple.
The stainless steel blade is mounted into the plastic base - a solution often used in the budget hair clippers and trimmers.

In order to get the most of this blade you will have to remember to lubricate it regularly with the blade oil.

As in most of the hair clippers, the Babyliss E974E lets you detach the trimming head for better cleaning and maintenance.

Length settings

This clipper lets you set 26 lengths.
With no guard (with the blade alone) you will get about 0,5 mm long cut.
There is only one adjustable guard with 1 mm increments.

Maximal cutting length is 25 mm.
In my opinion it will meet the needs of most of the users, who cut their hair at home.

The Ergonomy

Regarding the overall ergonomy, the Babyliss E974E is very similar to the rest hair clippers from Babyliss.
The handle of the clipper is round (in cross-section) which is rather unique among hair clippers.

In general I did not encounter any critical issues working with this clipper.
You have to be aware, that the whole handle is made of plastic, no rubberized parts here.
The Powering

What I like about the powering of the Babyliss E974E is the ability to operate in both corded and cordless mode.
This way you don't have to fret about losing power during operation.

If you hear the motor is slowing down, you simply plug the clipper into the socket and finish cutting your hair with the cord.
Yes, operating with a cord is not as convenient as the cordless mode, but at least you get the job done.
